Aerobatic Ground school

Flying is expensive so it is important to ensure the maximum benefit is gained from every minute airborne.  Aerobatics is also tiring so only so much can be covered in one session and realistically after three sessions in a day the point of diminishing returns will be reached.  If a really good theoretical knowledge is acquired, benefit in the air will be maximised.

Aerobatics is many things, an art form, a sport but also a discipline.  To succeed in competition, it is really important to be self critical.  You need to understand the marking criteria for each figure, you need to understand how the wind will effect box flying and loops and how speed effects stalling speed.  The list is very long and certainly if you have reached the stage where you think improvement is not likely then it is probably time to swap the “carbon wonder stunter” for a zimmer frame!

Aerobatic Training Syllabus

At Adastral Flying, all of our students have a structured syllabus to follow, teaching them not only how to fly a figure but how to fly figures accurately while ensuring their positioning is good.  Working through a structured training syllabus is the best way of maximising and measuring progress and also a great way of ensuring you are best prepared to win competitions!
